Thank You Your Majesty!
Recently, the progressives in France, the USA, and even the UK itself, did a huge disservice to Her Majesty the Queen of England. They did not invite her to the D-Day anniversary memorials in France (June 6), a country liberated by the Allies after four years of Nazi occupation.
During World War II, Her Majesty Elizabeth Princess of York, served in the military as a mechanic and driver. Yes, you read that right, a mechanic, and is rumored to be quite proficient with vehicles. She got dirty, worked hard, and was a great support to the cause of liberation and freedom to those under Nazi rule. She was No. 230873 Second Subaltern Elizabeth Windsor and reached the rank of Junior Commander, and has the distinction of being the only living head of state that served in uniform during World War II.
Her country gave so much during the war, that even though she was royalty and a Princess, she insisted on using her left-over war rations vouchers to pay for her wedding dress, so as not to be a burden on the almost bankrupt treasury.
At VE-Day, at her and her sister's persuasive insistence, and much reluctant royal parents, were allowed to participate in the celebration with the crowd. Dressed in civilian clothes, and relatively on their own, went unnoticed, by those celebrating, who they were, and cheered and danced with everyone as just one of the people.
She earned the right to be at the D-Day ceremonies much more than the buffoons that did attend.
I urge everyone to send her a card letting her know that there are those in the USA that appreciate her and her country's contribution and sacrifice to win that war!
