I believe there is hope yet for this country. It's going to take the actions of the silently busy (conservatives) to bring it back into shape. When that will happen is key. It's obvious it will have to take a drastic action to motivate them. Perhaps four years of Obama and a liberal Congress just may finally get people to realize what's happening. Let's hope so.

I don't know how much of a religious person you are Bob, but I have found that in the scriptures a righteous people are blessed until they get cocky and prideful and the nation goes the way of wickedness and immorality. What usually brings them into line is forced humility, and that's hitting rock bottom. 9/11 was a major blow, but it wasn't rock bottom. I think it will have to take an Obama, a liberal Congress, a psychopathic Iran and a foreign energy crisis of a perfect storm to humble these idiots. It's the only thing that can bring perspective on what was lost.

Can the USA recover? Yes, but only if people really see and understand what it is they are rescuing. In other words, the people have to be like those of the 1700's. For many, they can't appreciate liberty until it's lost.
